Franz is a partner of A&O Shearman, a major international law firm. He has over 25 years experience in the international finance sector and is a market leader in the field of international capital markets and structured finance. As well as legal skills, he brings to Access extensive business development, strategy and management expertise. 

In addition to managing his legal practice, at A&O Shearman he is the global co-head of the firm’s social impact, pro bono and community investment activity and chair’s the firm’s Foundation. and he is also a trustee of the teenage mental health charity Stem4. Originally Australian, Franz is currently raising his young son and daughter with his wife in North London. His professional involvement in the social finance and impact investing markets also includes advising numerous wholesale market participants in that space.

Franz is chair of the Blended Finance Investment Committee and is a member of the Audit, Risk and Compliance Committee.
