
Alex joined Access in 2026 to work on policy and advocacy after more than seven years in the Civil Service. He brings experience in developing and managing policy and legislation across central government departments, including the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government, Department for Work and Pensions, and Ministry of Justice.
During his time in the Civil Service, Alex worked on a wide range of policy priorities spanning communities and social cohesion, welfare and the cost-of-living, public sector fraud, and private pensions. His roles were varied, including leading early-stage policy design and research, running public consultations, drafting Green and White Papers, and taking primary legislation through Parliament.
