Asher Craig

Independent committee member

Asher Craig is Chief Executive of The Pathway Fund, a national organisation and social impact wholesaler established to support and invest in Black and Ethnic Minority-led social enterprises and businesses. From 2017 to 2024, she was Deputy Mayor of Bristol, where she held a number of Cabinet Portfios including Communities, Neighbourhoods, Public Health, Children, Education and Equalities.  She has played a key role in shaping investment strategies and fostering community-led initiatives, including reframing the use of CIL and S106 funding to support asset building in some of the city’s most disadvantaged neighbourhoods. She was formerly an advisory board member of Bristol & Bath Regional Capital (BBRC), a regional social impact investor and fund manager.

Asher brings extensive experience in social finance, community development, and inclusive economic growth. She currently serves on the Investment Committee of Access as an Independent Committee Member.  In her spare time she Chair’s  the Bristol Legacy Foundation and Stepping UP Learning Academy, a highly successful diverse talent leadership programme. She is also a Trustee of THT and COO of her daughter’s global beauty business.
