Jane Ide

Jane was appointed Chief Executive of NAVCA (the National Association for Voluntary and Community Action) in July 2017.  Since then she has led the transformation of the only national membership body solely to represent local voluntary sector support and development organisations (local infrastructure) in England. 

NAVCA’s network of members supports over 160,000 small, local charities and voluntary organisations across the country, working at the hearts of their communities and meeting those communities’ local needs.

In November 2020 Jane was appointed as the CEO of Creative & Cultural Skills, the organisation that works across the UK to create a fair and skilled cultural sector by shaping skills, education and employment best practice.

Jane has an extensive background in leading communications, stakeholder engagement and member services at the most senior level in the NHS and the wider public sector as well as the independent private sector.

She has a particular interest in organisation development and change, along with substantial consultancy experience. Jane has specialised in working with small charities and voluntary organisations to develop their vision, values and strategic direction.
