Cost of Living Fund
A fund from Social and Sustainable Capital (SASC) to support a small cohort of borrowers who are supporting the cost-of-living crisis with housing-based services.
Helping charities and social enterprises to support the communities most affected by the cost of living crisis
Launched in 2023, the Cost-of-Living programme targets areas most affected by the cost-of-living crisis and long-term economic decline. Its goal is to help charities and social enterprises scale up or sustain their work, especially those supporting communities facing rising living costs.
The programme targets organisations providing enterprise-based services to people and communities in acute need due to cost-of-living pressures. Grant funding helps sustain or grow the provision of essential community services while helping to preserve the resilience of the organisation’s enterprise activity. Given the challenges of deploying debt to organisations meeting the most acute needs, the programme combines highly concessional blended products with standalone grant products.
How the programme is funded
The Cost of Living programme is funded by £11 million from the Dormant Assets Scheme.
