Progress, partnership and what comes next
Seb Elsworth, CEO, reflects on Access’s role, progress and priorities following the Oversight Trust’s independent review.

Local Access Gainsborough is run by a partnership of local organisations from different sectors. It is one of six places working to develop stronger, more resilient and sustainable social economies as part of the Local Access Programme.
It aims to deliver a step-change in the local social economy through a combination of enterprise grants and advice, affordable social investment and associated market development, awareness raising and partnership development activity.

Speaking at the launch Leader of West Lindsey District Council, Cllr Giles McNeill said: “This is fantastic news for Gainsborough. Punching well above our weight with big cities like Bradford, Bristol and Greater Manchester all vying for funds. Gainsborough would benefit disproportionately compared with these big cities because for them a few million pounds is a drop in the ocean, but forgotten places like Gainsborough, it could be a catalyst for lasting, sustainable improvements to the town.”
