Our approach to our capacity building work was developed out of an extensive consultation exercise we conducted during the second half of 2015. You can see all the responses we received during the process here.
Throughout 2016-18 we are funding three programmes to support charities and social enterprises to be better able to take on a loan:
- The Reach Fund – providing investment readiness grants for charities and social enterprises seeking social investment, via a range of approved social investors who will act as ‘Access Points.’ The Reach Fund is managed by Social Investment Business (SIB) and details of how the fund operates are available on the Reach Fund website.
- Impact Management Programme – a programme which is:
a) developing a ‘self-service’ pathway for charities and social enterprises to use to define an initial impact management strategy, with minimal external support;
b) providing support and expertise to charities and social enterprises developing their impact management for a large investment raise and/or contract bid. The Impact Management Programme is managed by NPC and partners with its own website.
- Social Investment Infrastructure Fund – supporting the social investment market’s own infrastructure. The Social Investment Infrastructure Fund will be managed by Barrow Cadbury Trust and will launch later in 2017.
If your organisation provides support to charities and social enterprises in taking on social investment, through these programmes or otherwise, we would like to hear your feedback. Please visit this page to see detail of how you can get in touch with us and connect to your peers.
